You + Values = Winning
There’s a reason they’re my biggest obsession.
Good business exists at the intersection of the qualitative and the quantitative.
The profits and the people.
The scaling and the ethics.
The operations and the intangibles.
Capitalism says that “Company Values” are great to see, but more of a nice to have - definitely not critical to operations + overall company value.
Then again, capitalism says a lot of wrong things.
As a founder who led 80 employees, I know firsthand that concrete data (like healthy profits and marketing analytics) play a massive part in business. I also know that intangible assets (like values) are equally essential to building and running a company with staying power.
Yep, you heard me right. The abstract matters.
But here’s the thing.
Can you generate profits without a code of ethics?
Sure, if temporary + stressful success is your goal. But money can’t buy you integrity.
When you run your business in ways that are out of alignment and antithetical to your values, the toxic side effects abound. That toxicity hurts you, your team, your clients, and the foundation of your business, itself.
Whenever you act outside of your values - or put another way, do things you know aren’t right - you’re more easily dissatisfied, likely to take shortcuts, and bound to end up with no motivation to keep going. (Let’s not do that.)
Now, let’s look at the flipside.
Once you’re building your business by your standards, you’ll succeed without sacrificing your passion + integrity. It all comes down to your mission, vision, and values.
Mission
Why you started your business, bother getting out of bed (even on the bad days), and the core products and services you deliver on.
Vision
What happens when you execute your mission 600,000 times through direct and consistent implementation.
Values
How you apply your mission, establish a common code of ethics for a diverse team, and maximize rewards + benefits.
MVVs are the trifecta for taking control of why, when, and how you grow.
You’ll also find people who care about what you care about. It’s like magic - but with a proven framework.

And speaking of core values, these are mine.
I don’t shout about them into the ether. I put them into action.
01
Empathy
Empathy doesn’t mean crying in team meetings. It means being in touch with what you feel, and what others feel alongside you. It’s about open curiosity regarding how people do their best work, all from a place of compassion.
Where are you right now? What’s the weather in your head today? Why do you make choices the way you make them? I want to hear it all.
It turns out hiding or pretending problems don’t exist just makes them worse. (Weird, right?) We all know by now that life throws fierce punches, has deep values, and requires us to find resources within ourselves we didn’t previously know existed.
That’s why facing challenges with focus, determination, honesty, and purpose is non-negotiable. The strength it takes to succeed is profoundly respected here.

Courage
03
Integrity
Doing what you say you’re going to do is one of the most powerful things. For example, setting expectations about who you are, how you operate, and what’s possible is the basic foundation of good business. Following up + following through matters.
No more shifting for convenience or chasing temporary highs. Now, it’s all about making decisions based on your morals and values.
There’s a difference between being nice and being kind. Kindness requires a balance of empathy and honesty. There’s no glazing over the important stuff to spare someone’s feelings, but rather being intentional in your delivery.
Kindness means pivoting when there’s a reason to, truly listening to feedback, and holding your boundaries — even (and especially) when it’s hard.
